Picked up a case at the brewery along with some Vanilla Porter today. As i was loading it into my car a random guy walking by asked me if I had tried the Robust Porter, he was quite enthused about it. People are talking!Belgian wrote:Saw it at Summerhill on Tuesday. In my opinion this beer calls for some bottle aging to bring the sweetness into balance, but it's nice.

Notice that this beer is 12.6% (maybe 12.5)? Did GLB change their minds about releasing Stalin's Choice as the fourth anniversary beer (the previous announcement said this stout would be 10% abv)?hangunder wrote:from Twitter:

GLB noted this is a different beer than Stalins Choice.Ceecee wrote:Notice that this beer is 12.6% (maybe 12.5)? Did GLB change their minds about releasing Stalin's Choice as the fourth anniversary beer (the previous announcement said this stout would be 10% abv)?hangunder wrote:from Twitter:

I doubt they had the ability to change their minds as this has been aging in bourbon barrels for months. If it came out at 12.6%, it will likely just a matter of the ABV coming out higher than anticipated or perhaps it picked up some residual alcohol from the bourbon barrels.Ceecee wrote:Notice that this beer is 12.6% (maybe 12.5)?
