Draak is listed: http://www.lcbo.ca/lcbo-ear/lcbo/produc ... anguage=EN

Technically showing 1 in stock at 60 Carlton in Toronto, but hopefully the fact that it's up is a sign of more to come, and soon.

An article (The Grid?) advised aging the VDK Blauw for a year to let it become more balanced and less heavily sweet. I like it right now! It punches Chimay Bleu in the balls pretty hard, it is a much more well-rounded beer.

Speaking of physical violence, I had the Skull Splitter BW today, seems a bit sharp at first but it's really good - it might age in a way similar to the Schloss Eggenberg beers.

Better drink up my old Samichlaus to make room for the new shipment! It must be freaking awesome with proper age on it.

Out of curiosity, what would you consider proper age for a Samichlaus? I've a few with a couple years on 'em now.

Not an expert, but they sure do smooth out in a few years.

I have a single bottle of Samichlaus from 2006. I think I'll be enjoying that come Christmas Eve.
I used to sell beer. Now I don't.

I know the rule of thumb is to store lagers at cooler temperatures than ales. Should Samichlaus be stored in the fridge (my beer fridge is at 10 deg C) or in the cellar?

The Nostradamus is great really enjoyed that one. Cool label too. It's nice to get some more Belgians in smaller bottle formats.
Beer, not just for breakfast anymore.

Should age it a year, even the Grid columnist knows that! ;)

Extremes don't bother me so much. Comes from being a resilient red wine drinker or something.

I wish I had known this two weeks ago when I drank my van keizer. It was so sweet I found it disgusting. It was like someone had poured a bag of sugar into my beer. It was practically undrinkable for me at this point.
