Collective Arts Ransack the Universe was in tall cans at the Dundas/Dovercourt LCBO today. Canning date is Jan 5/16. Unlike the Collective Arts bottles, the canning date is large and visible on the cans. The clerk said they were flying off the shelves.

They also have a ton of DDC Aphrodisiaque with an 24AU2015 date on it if anyone is looking to stock up. Mmm, government cellared beer.

If Molson made this beer in 1908, why are they only serving it now?

I enjoyed that one when I visited their brewery recently but man was the hop aroma / taste dank, like drinking a beer made with pot.

But seriously, is this an actual attempt by Molson at a quality beer? Anybody know?

There are a few available at tbs near me. I think I may try one tonight. I'll report back if I do get one.
You know what I have in my cellar? Dust, I have dust in my cellar.

Yes, more than one
Drinking one right now from the LCBO that was canned on Jan 28th 2016. 1 week old, very nice!

I have had two bottles of the Aug 28th batch of Aphrodite, and it is quite thin and oxidized. It is still an interesting stout, but it lacks the body and vanilla/cocoa of fresher batches.

Still, it's not like there are any stouts of equal quality at the LCBO...

*By the way, does anybody else notice acetaldehyde/green apple in the new Celebrator bottles? I noticed a similar flavour in the batch of Ayinger Oktoberfest we received.
