Nickelbrook Raspberry Berliner
LCBO#: 467381 | 375 mL bottle
$3.95
This beer... I'm calling it the poor man's Rose de Gambrinus. So good.
I think the poor man's Solstice d'ete Framboise might be more appropriate.
Uber has way more lingering raspberry as the RdG has.

It really is a fantastic beer. I bought a bottle at their store too and man, it's good. Subtle coconut at the back, with tons of sweet creamy coffee with a touch of bitterness up front. Maybe the best I've had in a while when it comes to coffee... and probably the best I've ever had with coconut.

Flying Monkeys The Tribe Coconut stout was a total bust to me.

I really hope so! With everything! I'm done with buying their six packs... I only pull out a single bottle or two when I'm in the mood for a Smashbomb. And that's kind of all I drink of theirs anymore, unless I have family pick me up some brewery only releases while up there. Flying Monkeys seems to be falling behind the pack these days I think. Canning stuff may go a little ways to help. And canning some new stuff instead of high priced 750ml bottles at the LCBO which are always hit (Chocolate Manifesto, Paranormal) or miss (Shoulders of Giants, Acadian). Of course, those are just my opinions on those particular beers.

Your timing was perfect. I checked this message as I was enjoying a one of these great beers with a friend that's a huge porter fan.

I haven't had a lot of coconut infused beers but as far as the coffee flavor goes I agree, it's top notch.

I can't remember. Was it the St. Louis Fond tradition Kriek that was really terrible? I remember a Kriek a couple years ago from the LCBO that was so sweet it was a drain pour. I could be confusing this one with another one.
