I called the store this morning, they put a few aside for me. The girl told me that a few cases were transferred to another store yesterday.

Ottawa Update: I just saw this stuff at the rideau k.e. store, first beer I've seen that comes packed on its side. Does that mean it is meant to be cellared on its side as well?

So Mike, did you buy them all? Is it worth me trying to get there at lunch?

Just call now and ask them to hold some for you. They will know what you are talking about, I just got back 15min ago and I had 4 employees helping me find it lol - turns out they have 36 bottles total in stock right now, not 6

I saw them all on the front service counter, I would call and ask them to hold some. But that's just me.

I've read that Gueuze makers are known for ageing their beers on their side. I don't know if they all do it that way or not.

Belle Vue Lambics were shipped this way also. Again, it's the old 'Champagne-like Beer' mythology the brewers are playing into. The champagne-style bottle / cork / cage plus the great smooth carbonation does not hurt the image at all.

If anyone else was considering going to Wilson/Dufferin for Armand & Tommy, be advised. I just called them up after seeing the stock on the website drop from 55 to 12 since the last update. Spoke to one of their guys and he had 8 bottles left. I asked him to hold 2 for me until tomorrow. He said they got cleaned out over the last 2 days.

Stopped by Rideau/KE on lunch and got my two bottles. Saw two bottles held for someone on here.

Not much there, so if you are hoping to get some, I'd say today.

Yeeeaahh, thanks for that. Put an end to this frustrating week trying to figure out when it was going to show.

I asked at the info desk and she went back to get them for me. Noticed a few on the shelf while I was waiting.

To save people the hassle of going there for no reason, I picked up the last lonely bottle of 3F A&T at lunch today (thanks to all who ended up grabbing 1 less than they might have).

Having said that, it may be worth a visit if it is local as their beer fridge is flush. I picked up Pepe Nero, Mikkeller Canadian Dream, Urthel Hop It and GLB My Bitter Wife.
That's the way she goes. Sometimes she goes, sometimes it doesn't. She didn't go. That's the way she goes.

Agreed - thanks!

Went at lunch and got mine as well - there were still some sitting out at the back though (mixed box of some random stuff with some large foil bottles).
