I know most of these are in cans at the brewery. But I am in ottawa, which is why I'd like cans at the lcbo.

Curious, does anyone on this board prefer the bombers over cans?

Or maybe it was de-listed for a while? It was certainly available in six packs of bottles back in the day.

It continued to be sold in the Stratford LCBO but disappeared almost completely from Toronto. It's been lingering at the Summerhill store.

My take as well. I am surprised that Sam Adams can pull off some great styles (its double bock, Imperial Stout and numerous others) but the IPA, a classic of the American style lexicon, seems lacking. (That Latitude beer is better but the hop mix seems to put it aside the regular category of IPA).

It tastes partly like a lager to me and I wonder if it is bottom-fermented cold possibly. The logical Sam Adams beer to see here is, apart from the two mentioned, the Stock Ale which is an excellent, English-oriented ale which is a great quaffer. Much better than the spiced seasonals or the Latitude beer, IMO.

Agreed, the Rebel IPA was very lacklustre.

Don't think that because they took advantage of the tinder stick of offering that the Beer Store gave to the craft beer industry that they are in favour of the current set up. Distribution is distribution.

I haven't had any of the Forked River yet, the guys are members of the homebrew club I'm in and seem like great guys.

what's that Simpsons' episode where Homer's told to not accept the first thing offered to him, repeats "don't accept the first offer," 3 times in his head, is offered something like a stick of gum and says "you've got a deal!"?

negotiating's an art. the second you take crumbs, you're not going to be offered an entire pie
