New Arrivals at LCBO & TBS
I remember finding a cache of 2013 Amsterdam Tempest at the Eglinton/Laird LCBO this past summer and they also had Mokah. I think Summerhill had some at the time as well.rfrf wrote:a case of southern tier mokah from ?? on the shelf at king Spadina LC.. grabbed a few. when was this in the Lcbo last? 2012?

"It's alright."
"Passable!"
"Meh... 2.5"
That'd be pretty honest.
Or, oh, "People will buy this, it's pretty safe."
Apparently it's amazing, at least according to some clearly not fake ratings here:

"Excellent. Risk taste, slight Carmel flavour, but not sweet. Would orderagain. Anytime."JerCraigs wrote:Apparently it's amazing, at least according to some clearly not fake ratings here:

Yeah I'm with Jerc, these many experienced raters are pretty convincing...brotherofsammyfromanothermammy wrote:"Excellent. Risk taste, slight Carmel flavour, but not sweet. Would orderagain. Anytime."
Although I'm generally appreciative of a so-called Oktoberfest or Märzen. It's one of the best lager styles going, with more expression and depth than you might expect. Best if brewers & their buddies let other people promote their brew.

Me too. While I think the name is awful, if the beer ends up in an LCBO near me, I'm going to give it a try. Though those "flavorful for a lager" comments are pretty funny.
