I picked up some Nogne & Shawinigan at King & Spadina today.

They also finally have the Renaissance Perfection, which was late to arrive in that release.

Man my grandpa used to drink Old Style Pilsner all the time when I was a kid. I used to think it was the coolest beer because there was a little cartoon on the bottle. When I was older and lived in Prince Rupert BC for awhile it was pretty popular up there and I remember drinking a bunch.

I grabbed one at the Beer Store a month or so ago, fully aware it was Molson product. It's no Czechvar or Pils Urquell, but still it was a flavourful product.

Out and about today and was looking for the Nogne Saison. And the LCBO website came through once again: Queen and Coxwell listed 24 - none to be found.

But even better: Queens Quay listed 144 in stock. Awesome. Except, again, none to be found. I asked one of the guys and firstly, he had no idea what the beer was. And then he checked their in-store stock on one of the little handheld zappers by product number and it read zero. His explanation: they all sold already.

I really have trouble believing that 144 bottles of this beer were sold from one store in 24 hours. But what do I know? I ain't even mad.

Same deal for me, except for Rochefort 8.

"Quantity on Hand - 48"

None to be found...I asked, they checked, confirmed, but still had no idea.
