They suggested I call Vintages to ensure I didn't request a different store. I called and they said not all of the 400 have been sent and that mine will be sent to Brock Rd and Kingston just hasn't happened yet. You would think they'd send all the bottles to a single store not just one or two and then go back the following week with the next truck.
Just the LCBO being efficent, as always.

You underestimate the incompetence of the LCBO

My glass came in the mail today. Nice Utopias branding on the box and the glass. In combination with the utopias bottle, these are some very nice looking pieces. As said by DD, happy happy happy :D

Coming up on 5 weeks, and still no word from my LCBO. I know, I know, they said 4-6 weeks, so I'll try and remain patient. I happened to be at the store this afternoon picking up some wine, and stopped at the Customer Service desk just to check in on the off chance it had arrived but they hadn't gotten around to calling me. Is it wrong to expect that the person designated as the CSR be more knowledgeable than the average cashier? She looked at me like I had two heads when I asked about Utopias. Was completely unaware of the release, and of Utopias in general. She shouted over to the only other cashier, "Do you know if we got any of that Sammy Adams beer delivered? The $75 stuff?" Oh boy.

Standard LCBO experience. There are exceptions, I know, but sadly not very many when it comes to beer.

I just got my receipt in the mail today from Vintages....saying the bottle should be ready for pickup in a few weeks or so. (But I picked it up last week)

Here's mine, with my 2009 behind.

I had left about 2oz of the 2009 in the bottle - I hadn't taken any extraordinary measures to keep it beyond tightly closing the top, and storing it in the cool, dark basement. I was going to compare it against the 2012, but unfortunately the 2009 didn't fare well. It poured out a muddy brown and tasted BAD. The last time I had it, a few months ago, it was fine, but I guess there is a definite shelf life for an opened bottle.

2014 Utopia?
