Introducing Light Mode! If you would like a Bar Towel social experience that isn't the traditional blue, you can now select Light Mode. Go to the User Control Panel and then Board Preferences, and select "Day Drinking" (Light Mode) from the My Board Style drop-down menu. You can always switch back to "Night Drinking" (Dark Mode). Enjoy!

I read that bit about the cold room, and thought: "oh sure. what bs". The cold room in the Hamilton Centre Mall LCBO is stacked to the ceiling with the macros, and has a small section for Ontario craft.
That may be, but the one at Wilson and Dufferin, on the other hand, is really excellent. Probably depends on who the store manager and/or beer guy is.
I guess if we have to have an LCBO, this is one of the best justifications - support for and active promotion of local small businesses. Good for them.
What was that? I'm not sure what value that "release" has. Is there something I'm missing? I was kind of hoping that the opening of the corner store for beer and wine store announcement was going to be today
I think in general they profess to be much more in support of great beer (craft beer and those essential imports that have been mysteriously impossible to get for years) while recognizing that these products, while not yellow fizzy beers can be commerically viable & that all concerns to this end shouldn't be ignored (well not anymore.)
"Proud to be part of" may be true, but it also rings somewhat of "We'd like to take credit" for 'creating' a market that has obviously existed for some time, both in material fact and in potential for immediate expansion. They really just finally decided to get out of the way, and were surprised by the response.
Anyway, I applaud the rapid progress for both the formerly discouraging, backwards Ontario beer scene and the way the LC now facilitates it.
