Peensteen is not worthy! 8)

Stone is not a waste of LCBO space as I have come to understand the concept. Can we trade Rogue for Stone? Rogue are OK, but they have some real misfires and are expensive and make beer with bacon grease that is very upsetting for lister, and when lister gets upset, people mysteriously disappear...

Rogue has 3 or 4 beers that are good (in their entire portfolio) and the rest range from terrible to average.

Stone's entire portfolio (more or less) ranges from above average to excellent.

I don't think there is any comparison and I am with you that I would happily trade Rogue for Stone :D

Just you remember that!

Actually I wasn't the one boycotting Rogue for the bacon doughnut beer. I'm all for weird beers.

And I wouldn't mind seeing Stone here. Not at the expense of Rogue though. I still loves me some Hazelnut Brown...

So I picked up some Backwoods Bastard and thought it was ridiculously tasty, even though I don't normally like too much scotch flavour in my beer.

How does the Dirty Bastard rate, in your opinion? Worth getting a sixer? It's slightly lower octane, so I thought it would make a good after-work brew.

In my opinion, backwoods tastes more like an old ale or a barleywine than a scotch ale. Dirty bastard tastes like a scotch ale..

Yes, please. The only thing I've found exceptional about Rogue so far is their prices.

i almost feel like Rogue's listed because someone at the LCBO read about them a decade ago and still thinks they're the hot shit of the beer world...not realizing that they're a bottom tier west coast brewery.

probably the same person who brings in that Kelpie gift pack every fucking christmas

You mean the Kelpie gift pack without Kelpie in it?!
I used to sell beer. Now I don't.

That's the way she goes. Sometimes she goes, sometimes it doesn't. She didn't go. That's the way she goes.

Maybe we can read some good into the Pale Ale, Dirty Bastard, and the Porter not being discontinued? Wouldn't it be nice if they became permanent listings?

If they intended on keeping any of the Founders beers as a permanent listing, you would think that the Breakfast Stout would be one of them...

It is not a year-round beer.

Agreed...perhaps I'm selfishly dreading the trips to premiere gourmet to acquire this once stock runs out.

But even there, you won't find it year round :) Hopefully we get it as a regular winter seasonal.
