I've had the same impression. Though a lot of the stuff we've gotten is hoppy and I have serious doubts about the LCBO's ability to get hoppy beers from New Zealand on the shelves while they're still fresh.

I think the Barley wine was pretty good.

Just found out that the dragons milk will be in the Winter lcbo release, so there is still hope. The Anderson Valley Wild Turkey will be coming in 2015.

drank a shitload of that in june in MI. don't get the hype. it's pretty good but not insane.
Then why did you drink a shit load of it?
because it was being handed to me for free, starting at 10 AM?

you going to turn it down?

Not a great ticker release, but to be honest, I care about being able to recommend things that are a good value to a blue collar readership that periodically tries new stuff. Smuttynose and Anchor gone do just fine.

Can someone clarify which stout this is? They do not have it listed on Beeradvocate as this:

Amager Bryghus Extra Strong Imperial Stout

$7.20

Does anyone know if there is a way to just search 'all stores' on the new website? I hate having to look up postal codes of LCBOs that I'd be willing to go to just to see if they have the beer. Sometimes things are best the way they are, and I fucking hate the new LCBO website.

Also, the 'find similar' function couldn't be more useless. Seriously, what a piece of shit website. That is not user friendly in the least... it's the enemy of the user... unless I'm just using it wrong or something.

what sucks is that the 2 sites have different information.. Amager Bryghus Extra Strong Imperial Stout isn't on foodanddrink and it IS on lcbo.com

Crap, two different databases. I hope the LCBO has some sort of late night database copy that puts the lcbo.com DB onto foodanddrink.ca/vintages.com.

But it wouldn't surprise me if there's someone manually updating both.

Thanks for that link... but I agree that it is kinda pointless if it doesn't share the same database as the actual LCBO search.
