found a few of the gift items - a lot of the same beers/packs as last year. But a few new things:

decent price on the bernardus mixed pack - it's $25+ in the states:
St Bernardus Mixed Pack** 385476 1980 18.95
St Bernardus Christmas Ale** 385435 750 9.55
Unibroue Sommelier Pack** 385625 2046 12.95
Railway City Brewing Co - Holiday Gift Pack** 385518 1419 13.65
Double Trouble-Delicious Loot 6pk** 385484 2838 16.50

also, why such a large bottle.. sigh:
Bons Voeux** 385575 1500 $25.00

and this:
Marston's Classic Ales** 385666 3000 18.95
which is this I think:

and this is back at $1 more:
Cuvee Van De Keizer Blauw 288696 750 8.90

last but not least!:
Coors Banquet Holiday Gift Pack** 385617 1419 10.95

It's called 'Table Presence.' It means 'We here at the LCBO believe that beer, like wine can be pretentious...'

Abbey Tripel 9.5%
"Bons Vœux (Good Wishes) is a blond high fermentation beer , re-fermented in the bottle.... The true fermentation in the bottle , which can be extended very long in your cellar, resulting in a balanced and harmonious beer, surprising and complex aromas "

- well it's a terrible plan to open it for one or two people, but the price is awfully reasonable.

I'm pretty sure that's the one. The BA and RB styles don't match.

It's a perfect bottle for a New Year's Eve share, IMO

$25 for that magnum is a great price.
I have magnums of Duvel, Tripel Karmeliet and Chimay that I break out once a year or so....this will be a nice addition.

But, I'd also drink it more if it came in a more economical size ;)

Gift packs hit shelves this week. I saw...

Saison DuPont Avec Les Bons Voeux magnum ($25)
InBev "beers of Belgium" w/ Stella, Hoegaarden and (new this year) Leffe Royale.
Samuel Smith w/ the pint glass (India Ale, Organic Chocolate, Oatmeal Stout)
St. Bernardus (6 pack w/ 6, 8, 12, Wit, Watou, Tripel)
Wychwood mix featuring Hobgoblin, Scarecrow, Dr. Thirsty, and "Imperial" Red (4.7%)
A new British mixer featuring Hobgoblin, a Brackspear, Marstons, and three other offerings I can't remember off the top of my head...
The same old Belgian packs (Bieres du Bucanniers, Van Steenberge)

The Shepard Neame Christmas, Nogne Underling Jul, St Peters Winter, Sam Smith Winter Welcome, Wychwood Bah Humbug are already on shelves too.

Did the St. Bernies come with a chalice? I cannot find any of these on the crummy BO site.

No, St B mix pack is sans glassware. Apparently the gift packs won't be on the website for another week. So it's a crapshoot on which stores have whatever at this point.

Anyone in the Guelph to London corridor that's seen the Bons Voeux magnum on the shelf, could you let me know what store? Thanks!
