If we can't set some rough guidelines/keep things in check re: on what is acceptable/unacceptable in the trading "game," how will people who are new to the hobby learn how to go about things?
They'll learn by the volume of trades they complete and the speed that their offers are taken up, and what sort of extra throw in's they get
Or, to ensure that people know where they're going wrong, we as a community can just be direct when things like this arise and tell the guy.
In which case a polite pm is probably a better way to handle it rather than a public call out.

Well I learned by observing others, and I expect most do the same

I've learned by reading this thread but the lessons have nothing to do with trading beer.

I just got back last night after picking up a few 750's and CD10's and looking to cover my flight, rental car and gas.

In all seriousness, trips/adventures out to HF are not to be taken lightly. Its a decent haul from any direction. For the effort and the experience I can't see how anyone trades any of the beer away.
There is so much other tradeworthy beer out there that is more accessible and closer. Thats just me still glowing from my HF trip perhaps.

tl;dr stop trying to win trades.

I don't buy to trade. But sometimes it happens by accident.

This is not one of those times.
All that gas money and duty going to add to my personal hype of the CD10(s).

Fair trade, $4$, but you win the trade in mLs. PM me so we can work out logistics.

Left a couple days before CD10 - sad I'll miss out on that one.

I'll trade the Actual CUJO for the CD10. I'm also willing to troll 3 members of your choice off of TB.

In all seriousness after all that driving, waiting, etc. it's pretty damn rewarding when you have a bottle of Hill Farmstead Goodness (or 12) in your cellar.
