Great Lakes Pumpkin Ale

Post by jethro796 »

This year's version seems to have more allspice and nutmeg. A nice amber colour and finishes a bit peppery. I am glad they increased production levels so we can enjoy it right through fall.

I don't have a clear memory of last year's, but I agree that this year's version has lots of pumpkin-pie spices. Quite noticeable on the nose and palate. I wouldn't drink it full-time but it's a very nice seasonal treat IMO.

This bottling is spot on and is my favorite thing they make. Horde six bottles & stash someplace dark and scary.

Bought several from the brewery and cannot wait to sit down with them over the holidays.
