Mill St. Tripel

Post by tupalev »

At the brewpub now. Under the name Betel Guese or something like that. They nailed the style guys, get out there and try it. I'm not even sure another Ontario brewer has tried this style let alone nail it. Congrats Mill St., this was a really nice surprise to find today!

Thanks for the update Jeff. I'll be in the area in a few weeks, and will make a stop here to see if this is available.

Dammit, Jeff! I was going to head straight home after my half day at the office, but now I'm going to have to slog over to the brewpub!

An Ontario tripel? This is a very good thing.

Mill St should be paying me commission for stopping in yesterday :)

I hope you all like it as much as I did! I'm curious to see what you guys think...

Is it just on tap, or did they have some in growlers too?

Just got back from the brewpub and Jeff's right, this is an excellent tripel. Pretty much textbook as far as I can tell. I popped into the store. It looks lke its tap only.

GOOD! Starts off a little funnky & becomes very spicy.

I saw Growlers there recently, always a good deal.

Not a Westmalle (what is?) but it seems right up there with many Tripels from la Belge. A fine effort!

(And the Scotch Ale is very nicely done with some roasty malts in there.)

Growlers of the tripel? That would be excellent!

I stopped into the retail store last night around 6:30 and they had one growler left (after I picked up one). Not sure if they're going to do more.

I think they're more expensive - $5, maybe? - but still cheaper than regular prices.

I just picked up a growler this afternoon, and there were about 5 or 6 left.
