One of my favorite GRB brews and I look forward to it each summer. This year the character is slightly different but the core berry fruit subtleness is still there. This batch seems to have some Kristalweizen traits in that the ale character is prevalent and it compliments the subtle berry tartness and wheat to produce a nice dry ale.
I stocked in for the summer but I think I'll be going back for more because this case is going down too fast.

Ok. Just had a bottle at Chancey Smith's. Bottled on date states July, so this is right fresh.
Much more berry in the nose and flavour than last year. Seemed a bit hazier too, with a bit more depth and body. One thing that struck me as odd was the lack of carbonation. My bottle had none at all. Completely flat, even with a very vigorous pour. But that was fine with me as I found last years a bit over carbonated.
Overall, it is an improvement for sure.
