Amsterdam Rip and Run Smoked Porter with Syrah Wine Skins

Post by G.M. Gillman »

First class strong porter with pronounced but clean and pure smokiness. The fruited element is there but the smoke dominates. On draft at Volo right now where I had it, I think it's also at Amsterdam Brewhouse downtown.

I like fruited elements. Wonder if Leaside brewery store has it bottled? Sounds like a ripasso style beer, LOL.

I could be wrong, but I'm pretty sure the BrewHouse one-offs are generally only sold in bottles (if there are any) at the BrewHouse. Because some of this was kegged for Volo and some for Amsterdam, there will be limited bottles, if any.

An interesting sounding brew...did bottles ever materialize anywhere?

This was a collab with house ales... Julian at volo knew nothing about bottling when I asked.
