Ballsy....i like it. Hopefully the aroma doesnt smell too much like durian so that people will not be put off.

Finally got around to getting into a bottle of the Rat Queen Impy stout. Beautiful stuff, super roasty malts and coffee, rich creamy mouthfeel, subtle carbonation, not too sweet with a little heat and just a touch of hops in the finish. Great stuff, i'm glad i've got another couple bottles in the cellar.

We are extremely excited to announce the release of our first sour beer. 'In the Beginning' is a sour golden ale aged in stainless for many moons with our house mixed culture, then re-fermented in the bottle. $10/750ml bottle (limit 6 per person) available at the brewery starting this Friday.

... 1.89l (64oz) growler?
Are they standard or do they really exist in Metric also?

Oh wait here... this is really annoying:
The Google wrote:While 64 U.S. fl oz (1,892.7 ml; 66.6 imp fl oz) is the most popular growler size, growlers are commonly found in 32 U.S. fl oz (sometimes known as a "howler", which may be short for "half growler"), 128 U.S. fl oz, 1-liter (33.8 U.S. fl oz; 35.2 imp fl oz), and 2-liter sizes as well.
Would love to get out there sometime soon! Sour ales are the tits.

I went. Every beer was legit. Very modern/trendy interpretations of an IPA. Very in synch with US trends.

The guys told me a little about some future barrel plans, including the fact that they have a foeder on order.

Finally visited these guys the other weekend. Enjoyed all the beers they had available to sample.
Happily impressed, I'll return whenever I'm out in the area again (and they're open).
