Things have definitely taken longer than expected. We have had a lot of delays, and some hiccups along the way, but everything looks like it has finally fallen into place. Licencing is under control, and we have a functional brewhouse now (which we will be testing this weekend). A few more things to do before the whole brewery is completely operational, but we will be brewing soon, and selling shortly after.

So this week we finally finished our brewery set up and we are now fully operational
we picked up our hops today and our first pitch of yeast is getting delivered tomorrow
brewing the first batch on Sunday!

Sounds awesome! Can't wait to be able to pop over from work. Do you guys know what your store hours will be?

Initially its probably going to be just friday evening & saturday afternoon.

First up is a hoppy Pale Ale, after that will be a Porter

Thanks again for the tour guys!
If your homebrew is any indication of things to come, the local beer geeks are going to love it. I'm looking forward to my next visit (when you have some stuff on tap).

as one of the local geeks I can say I don't think I have ever been more excited about a brewery opening. I predict on the second anniversary of this thread in Mar 2017, we'll be reflecting on Barncat's incredible success as an Ontario craft brewer.

We probably won't be doing that any time in the near future. Just growler fills at our brewery for now.
