Yeah, the Over My Dad Body/Naughty Neighbour and Immodest comparison made to much sense.
Nah, it was a dumb comparison.
You're right. It's stupid to compare two things that should be offensive to nobody. Only the absolute softest of humanity would find either offensive. And insane people that actually believe by making a stink, they are actually helping society.

I reiterate. What about women who love burlesque? Love strip clubs? Love pornography? Women that don't feel objectified but empowered by the choices they've made or the industry they've chosen. Who might really love those cans. Do they not count for anything? They left would have you believe that no, they do not matter anymore.

It reminds me of the whole 'Grid GIrl' thing in Formula 1 Racing. The outcry about the objectification... the removal of that position for the women. And then the Grid Girls themselves coming out and saying... "ummm, what the fuck? We love doing this. We work hard and chose to do this. Please don't tell us what would can and should do. If you don't like it, turn away". Now THAT is a strong woman. Not the pieces of shit harassing them and trying to take their livelihoods away because they are insane enough to actually believe they are doing something good.

Former Grid Girl misses her 'Dream Job' thanks to psychopaths:

I eagerly await the 'Over My Postpartum Body' can. I'm sure that will fly just fine with the left, as does the Dad Body can.

Hypocrisy, double standards. Will they ever end? I feel it's just begun.

Given the historic (and current) imbalances of power that often exist, on a societal level, between men and women, there's a difference and while it's easy to make the comparison as has been done, it's not particularly accurate nor equal.
I don't mean to be rude but you're basically attempting to justify a double standard, and double standards are always bullshit.

There might be at least one or two flabby, pasty old white dudes who are insecure enough to be turned off by the Dad Bod can. You might also think their feelings are ridiculous, but that's no different than Blasphomet thinking that the people offended by the NN/Immodest cans are being ridiculous.

Real, actual feminism requires equal treatment for both sexes. Otherwise you're just tilting the scales (which were previously unfairly tilted toward the male side for literally all of human history) towards the female side. If the NN can is offensive enough to be changed, then I don't see why the Dad Bod one isn't. Disclosure: I don't actually care either way, I just feel that what's good for the goose is good for the gander.
I'm not arguing that the OMDB label isn't just a dumb stereotype of lazy, slobby dads. But it doesn't objectify or sexualize the man or his body parts for the titillation and gaze -- and ultimately, the use by -- for women the way that the NN/Immodest cans do for men, a reiteration of countless instances that have happened for eternity. Again, it's a power and privilege thing, and who has it (men) and how it's used (to objectify women for men's own desire, pleasure and use) within a broader system of oppression and power imbalance.

A man can rightly feel objectified, or stereotyped, but those instances do not contribute to nor stem from broader societal hierarchies and systems of oppression based on power imbalances. It's similar to how reverse racism isn't ever a thing, or a Black person calling a white person a "cracker" is nowhere near the offensive statement as a white person calling a Black person the n-word is. "Equality" is great, in theory, but given that certain groups are starting from different places based on historic and current powers, privileges and oppression, it's not yet a level playing field and what might be seen as double standards or unfair treatment may be necessary to help level it so that, indeed, all treatments in the future can be objectively made "equal".

Shit, you paint women as so fucking weak. It's not a rape scene being played out on a beer can.

No wonder 'feminists' and lefties are starting to eat themselves alive. It's the insanity.

Women who make their own decisions and choices with what they do/how they show their body or their sexuality should be encouraged to do so. No one is arguing that, least of all the "left" (whatever that means). It's precisely about having women be the subjects who make decisions for themselves, rather than the objects for men to ogle. If women don't find these labels offensive, that's fine. But many do, because they're made by men, primarily for men, and depict a woman as no more than the sum of her parts, a continuation of the broader societal practice that, frankly, is tiring for a lot of men too.

Again, I've offered some basic 101 links on the issues of systemic oppression, power imbalance, and sexism etc from people who know more about it than you or I do. I would encourage you to read them.

Oh right, only men work in the industry and basically no women drink beer. No chance there was any input on those can designs by women. Are you assuming genders and gender stereotyping? Me thinks that yes, you are. :)

When I worked at NB the NN shirt was the best selling ladies shirt, by far. Many women work at NB (sales, marketing, production, logistics) and wore the shirt and had no problem with the can or marketing. NB is owned by 3 people, one being a woman.

Game, set, and match.

All this was is again, just a bunch of self righteous do-gooders trying to change the world. To the way they want it to be because the real world and sane people hurt their feelings. I can't even imagine how tiring it must be being offended by such things.

People descended from Eastern Europe have commented on seeing Stalin's likeness on Bolshevik Bastard labels (also by NB...) and news from the West Coast would lead us to believe that the image of Sir John A. MacDonald causes offense to some. What of his likeness on Old Tomorrow labels?

It is a bit of a mug's game keeping up with what is deemed offensive. One option is to go back a half century or more to labels simply reading Lager or Ale or we could just enjoy what is inside. It's only beer but that's enough for me.
