Overview
The Assistant-Brewer ensures that all the beer we serve always meets or exceeds our standards of excellence. He supports the Brewer for running the Brewery, manages the inventory and quality of the beer, acts as the 3 Brewers Beer Ambassador and helps the restaurant staff to continually increase the quality of the Beer Service. The Assistant-Brewer must be the example of our standards at all times, whether it is cleanliness, organization or beer quality.

The Assistant-Brewer will be assisting on Brewery operations at least 15 hours per week, he takes control of the site operations when the brewer is not there (ex. Vacations). He might have to work a few hours per week in another function to complete hours during low seasons.

Major Responsibilities

Maintains a good relationship with the whole restaurant team, ensure good working relationships with the general manager and the kitchen chief
Manages housekeeping within his area
Ensures company guidelines are respected throughout the brewery operations, including respect of recipes
Prepares and manages the on-site production planning in order to avoid out-of-stock on beers
Responsible for the on-site quality of the beers (up to the glass of the guest)
Manage raw materials and inventory control
Supports Continuous Improvement and Root Cause analysis processes
Is THE beer ambassador in the restaurant, and insures as such the necessary training and development for the restaurant staff
Interacts actively with the guests, both behind the bar and in the restaurant, in order to promote the beer culture of 3B
Guides the guests through the brewing process through visits of the on-site brewery
Supports the master brewer and the regional head brewer in the development of new beers
Assists with start-up of new projects when required, including presence during evening hours when (new) customers are introduced to the new venue
Provides in-time reports required by his leadership, including the daily usage of log books and action plans
Experience / Skill Requirements

Ability to work in a 5/7 schedule,
Ability to operate in a minimum of 3 locations
Participation in events, festivals, promotions (a must)
Attend management meetings to update in-house managers on beer issues on a weekly basis
Design and conduct brewery tours
Teach bartenders the 3 Brewer best beer service
Monthly beer line cleaning and maintain beer temperture
Maintain an accurate Weekly and monthly inventory reports
Agro food industry and microbiology knowledge (an asset)
Beer brewing industry passion or interest
