Black Oak - Nutcracker Cask Party?

Post by Images »

Hey Ken, you were boasting (okay, not boasting, "casually mentioning") about having a release party for the cask version of your Nutcracker coming up shortly.

If I recall, you mentioned Wednesday Dec 1st at the Bow + Arrow.

So any confirmation on the details/time there?

(Or was it the Corporal Punishment talking? :) )

Hi THere
Patrick of the Bow & Arrow & Me (or is it I?) are setting up the details of the Cask Launch.
So far it would seem like Tuesday Nov 30 is the date, but we just have to firm things up.
Currently we're prepping for the Gourmet Food & Wine Show this weekend.
Very big smaltzy event with roving packs of over cologned cougars cruising for conquests, (reminds me of that sex convention thing on another post)
Perhaps we'll see some of you there.

Back to the Bow. (sorry I'm prone to wandering a lot) I hope to have things firmed up within the next few days.
We've got the casks done (there are four of them) and there just mellowing in the fridge. Perhaps I'll have a prize bag of concrete as an added attraction at this event. (sorry wandering again)

More details to follow
Cheers
Ken

I think this is happening tomorrow - heard from Patrick at the Bow today. Perhaps Ken will check in and can update us.

According to Patrick at the Bow, this will be at 7:30pm tonight.

Not sure if I'm going to make it, I'm quite sick this week.

Hi Everyone
Sorry i've been slammed busy with the Gourmet Food & Wine Show and then slammed with a cold. But with lots of green tea and tons of tissues i'm almost back to normal.
I've dropped the cask off at the Bow yesterday so its ready to go.
The event will be at 7:30 and it should be pretty tasty.
Look forward to seeing everyone there
Cheers
Ken

Does that mean the Bow are going to be serving it for a while, or is this just a one-off deal?

I'm asking because the Corporal Punishment seemed to dry up very quickly. It wasn't available a week after the launch, and still isn't.

Good times last night.

Nutcracker was very tasty (mmmm, dark chocolate undertones... *drool*).

Has magical healing properties too -- my cold is gone this morning. :)
