Trafalgar's April-May Newsletter

Post by Derek »

Forward...

Hello all,

Sorry to be bombarding your email accounts like this, but at least it
doesnt happen too often! Attached is the newsletter for April and May;
there is also a schedule of summer events Trafalgar will be participating
in. A text version of the newsletter is pasted into this email below for
those of you who have trouble with big files. Hope everyone's summer is
going well so far, and we hope to see you soon.

Remember, this Sunday is the Father's Day open house, 12-5 pm at the
brewery (905-337-0133).

Cheers,

Lindsay Key

Trafalgar Newsletter
April-May 2006

1. TRAFALGAR UNLEASHES CRITICAL MASS: THE STRONGEST BEER IN CANADA!

Take cover! Trafalgar Brewing has been planning a line of Very Strong Beers
for some time now, and the first of these potentially destructive brews is
set for release in June. Critical Mass is a spiced Belgian-style Ale which
tips the scales at over 14% alcohol while remaining pleasantly
drinkable...but please, only in small doses! Critical Mass will be
available for purchase (in our retail store only) by late June in unique 200
mL bottles.

2. TWO NEW LIQUOR TANKS EXPAND BREWHOUSE

Trafalgar’s brewhouse was recently bolstered by the addition of two new hot
liquor tanks. The tanks were purchased at Amsterdam Brewing’s recent moving
sale as they switched locations to the base of Bathurst Street in Toronto.
The tanks, which look very comfortable in their new home, will expand the
capacity of the brewhouse by 10 hectolitres (1,000 litres) each.

3. KULVINDER JUSS: MAN OF MYSTERY

Local engineering student Kulvinder Juss made a brief appearance as part of
Trafalgar’s brewery staff in April and May. With a little coercion, he
even painted the bathroom! Kulvinder has moved on to further studies at the
University of Alberta in Edmonton. On the plus side, we are welcoming back
Vince Maarsman from the University of Sunderland in Northeast England,
where he has successfully completed his studies in the brewing arts.

4. FATHER’S DAY AT TRAFALGAR BREWERY

We will be hosting our second annual Father’s Day open house on Sunday June
18th, from 12 noon until 5 pm. Bring Dad down to the brewery at 1156
Speers Road in Oakville for some free beer samples (including Critical
Mass!) and a tour, and a chance to hang out with other Dads to talk about
beer. Sounds better than a tie, doesn’t it?
