You're right -- they will never please everyone. I for one would much prefer ticket sales on a Sunday (even Thanksgiving Sunday) than mid-week, due to being out of town on business.

Heard back from Tomas, who says that they're "still deciding" what time the tickets will go on sale on the 13th, but are "leaning towards" 4 PM.

It should be confirmed in the next day or two.

Nice to see the gang (part of them). Got my ticket for the opening session but no dice for the brewmasters breakfast - sold out by 6:00 p.m. However Thomas put me on a waiting list so hopefully that will spring one.

Sales seemed to be going well last night, with the 2nd session and the brewer's breakfast sold out by the time I left at 7ish.

I'm off to the Brewer's Breakfast (sorry Gary!) - which sessions are all you guys down for?

I'll try and make some of the earlier events and then the Sunday Session - running an all night Halloween party Friday/Saturday morning for my Youth group - followed by an all day sleep Saturday :)

That APA is the Brew that those "BeerShack/CABA" guys brewed @ Beau's for winning the gold medal Best of Show for the Great Canadian Homebrew Competition 2009 back in June. The homebrewers (beershack/biergotter/southern ontario brewers(aka SOB)/eastenders) really push the craft brewing boundaries in Canada much more so than commercial craft brewers.... so it will be interesting to see how this homebrew craft brew stacks up against commercial craft brew at cask dayz. As many fellow Towelers have mentioned, need more APA/IPA representation in Ont and beyond. I still remember the Biergotter IPA from Cask Days years ago as being one of The Best casks of the event. I know Ralph took some heat for that and steered away from homebrew craft for following years, thanks to pencil pushing Bcrats! It was kinda sad to see the Great Biergotters sweeping the floors and collecting garbage last caskdayz event but I guess they were doing it for The Cause, which was admirable.

In anycase, kudos for Ralph@volo/Steve@Beaus/Kevin@CABA for putting together the event and subsequent Beaus/CABA/BeerShack brew for cask days. Hop it turns out well!

<rant>More Towelers should support HomeBrewing events as the events (like coming CABA AGM magic bus tour in Nov) are cost effective and provide great brew as well. Doing so promotes The Craft and spawns homebrewers into the commercial sector like Larry (was CABA circa 2006 before he started brewing at DDC and then Gatineau), Mike Duggan (can't wait for the Duggan Pub to open within weeks... according to Ralph they are already brewing and the stuff Ralph has tried there is great), etc </rant>.
