Delta Chelsea and Marriot Courtyard are niceish places that can be reasonable.

Hotwire or Hotels.com can often come up with some pretty good prices, especially on short notice.

Funny how the 1st Annual Ontario Cask IPA Challenge winner was Duggan’s #9 yet everyone in the forums trash the hell out of that beer now along with most of the other Duggan's stuff.

I was thinking that too. To be fair, the beer has become less hoppy to my palate, and there have been a lot more good hoppy beers to have come out since. Great Lakes alone has done a half dozen solid efforts, Smashbomb obviously and others. The fact that we have enough legitimate contenders for such an event now would have been unthinkable a few years ago!

I think it gets some unjustified rough treatment, and that overall Duggans beers range from okay to excellent. However, I think the 9 has changed considerably. Remember the cask challenge winner was pre-bottling, and I'm pretty sure the recipe was changed somewhere along the road and became malt heavier.

I just got a room at the Marriot for $120 from Hotels.com a day before I needed it for an event tonight. A couple blocks south of Volo. Good option.

The Madison has some cheap rooms and it's not all that far from Volo if you can put up with the idiots that stumble in and out of the bar next door.
It's cheaper than the Marriott if that concerns you.

And it wasn't even a cask ale!!! It was an ale in a cask.
