Thanks everyone who came out on Saturday. It was drizzly & chilly but that won't stop craft beer drinkers!

It's an awesome location and with some better weather and more breweries coming in next time things are going to rock this summer in the capital.

Location was great - weather was definitely not, but quite surprised at home many people showed up considering.

Already have the next one marked in the calendar although considering its Ottawa Race Weekend and we have a 2km family run (at 3pm) not sure what we will be able to do...

Queen Victoria's Secret quickly approaching on Monday, May 19th from 11-4pm back at the Brick Works. Hopefully the weather continues to improve as we'll be back at our usual location of Koerner Gardens.

Stay tuned for lineup details!

Excited to see the list of breweries for the Second Ottawa Market and especially the food by Angry Dragonz. For anyone who hasn't eaten their food its excellent.

Also like the extra two hours, extending the time until 8 pm.

Last year our events all went to 8pm. We found that for the one later in the year that the last two hours were pretty quiet, so we felt shortening the time to 6pm for our April one was a good idea. And due to the weather and it still being quite chilly, certainly think that was the right move.

For the summer ones though, with (hopefully) warmth and more daylight the 8pm end will be great for everyone.

Guess since we brought the little ones to the summer event we never actually got to worry about staying to closing.

Fingers crossed for nice weather though!

It's gonna be a great one on Monday. Sawdust City, Oast House & Amsterdam, along with food from FeasTO, Sugar Pie Honey Bunch & Royale Popcorn.

Some of the Sawdust beers (not to give away too much of the secret) are final kegs in existence of some of their past one-offs.

We've had lots of one-offs at the Brewer's Backyard, but this Monday we have our first-ever collaboration. We did it with Sawdust City, and the beer is called Balmoral's Outrage. You can read the story here, but in keeping with the secret the ingredients behind the beer will be revealed on Monday :)

Great day, great weather, great beers yesterday. Thanks to everyone who came out.

Ottawa friends - see you on Saturday. For those who are interested we're going to have our jars back for sale on Saturday.

Toronto, see you again on Canada Day.

What a great weekend event. Got there later then usual because of the family fun run but the line-up moved fairly quickly to get in, and once in although it was way more crowded then last time (amazing what nice weather can do) with more beer vendors and things being more spread out it sure didn't seem like it took that long to get beer or food.

Have to say that being to watch your kids play in the splash pad or play structure while sipping on a tasty local brew was incredible - not quite European since it take a special event but still fantastic.

Also have to say the food selection was great - the Pakistani curry was delicious - and of course the beer was pretty good too.

Thanks for the kind words about Saturday. It was our biggest event ever - we counted over 3,000 people through the gates throughout the day.

Even with that #, the park still felt spacious and with lots of elbow room. The breweries were great, with an extra shout-out to BtP and Cassel who went to go get extra beer to ensure we kept pouring til the very end. And the food was delicious.

Thanks to everyone who came out, and hope you can make it to the next one. We'll bring more of everything as if the weather is as nice as Saturday there will probably be a big turnout again!

Countdown to July 1st - our Canada Day edition will be called the "Group of Seven", seems appropriate for the day. We'll have seven brewery & food participants and the usual fun. Mark it down in the calendar & stay tuned for more details!
