Cheers For Charity Presents,

BEER 4 BOOBS -- Hamilton -- SUNDAY APRIL 14th at Casbah (306 King Street West, Hamilton)

Cheers! For Charity Presents “Beer 4 Boobs” An Event Where
Local Brewers help fight Breast Cancer

For the 2nd year in a row, local brewers collaborate to produce unique one off beers for a cause - but this time it will be twice as good!

On two separate days at two separate bars in two separate cities,
a group of passionate local brewers, both female and male alike, will work together to help fight Breast Cancer. Starting at The Rhino (1249 Queen St. W, Toronto) on Sunday April 7th, 2013 and continuing on
to The Casbah (306 King St W, Hamilton) on Sunday April 14th, 2013, a series of unique one-off kegs and casks will be tapped in honor of the event “Beer 4 Boobs”. Both events will feature the same selection and volume of specially created craft beers.

“We are excited to host the second annual Beer 4 Boobs event, says Kaitlin Vandenbosch- co-founder of Cheers for Charity and Beer 4 Boobs. “Our first event at bar Volo was a huge success. This year we have
been able to expand to include two locations and triple the amount of beer at each event due the enormous support from the brewing community in Toronto and across South-Western Ontario.”

Every beer on tap at during these two events will be brewed by a member of Ontario’s brewing industry. Brewers from: Amsterdam Brewing Co., Black Oak, Mill Street, Oast House, Railway City, Beyond the
Pale, Camerons, Niagara College, The Ship, Grand River, Bellwoods, Silversmith, Trafalgar, Indie Ale House, Cheshire Valley, Granite and a few others have all generously donated their time, ingredients, and
pilot systems to collaborate special one-off beers to be served only at the “Beer 4 Boobs” events. “We are all looking forward to serving our collaborative beers on a behalf of a great cause”, says Morgan
Wielgosz of Amsterdam Brewing Co. “2012 was a huge success. We hope our beers can really make a difference.”

Tickets will be $25.00 each and will include 1 sample beer ticket, and a commemorative sampling glass. Proceeds from ticket sales, raffle and beer will be donated locally. Proceeds from the Toronto event will
be donated to PYNK, a breast cancer program for young women under 40 at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre. While proceeds from the Hamilton event will go to “Breast Cancer Support Services” an organization that provides comfort and support to women and families living with breast cancer in the Greater Hamilton & Halton regions.

Tickets for the Hamilton “Beer 4 Boobs” Event at The Casbah will be sold at the door. The event will run from 1pm – 6pm on Sunday April 14, 2013.

Event is 19+.
CASH ONLY, with ATM available.

Only specialty one-off beers brewed by those involved will be served on these nights. Additional beer tickets can be purchased at the event.

This will probably be the best beer event Hamilton has seen. We rarely see one-offs in this town so it should be a breath of fresh air.

Bring back Mickey Mcguire's! As tasty as Quality Cheese Works were.. ever since Brews N Bands last year I believe that every single beer fest should be done with sizeable hunks of Avonlea Cheddar, Chimay a la Biere, and Cave-Aged Gruyere in hand.
A shark on whisky is mighty risky. A shark on beer is a beer engineer.

I guess it's worth noting that next Sunday (April 7th) will be the Toronto edition at the Rhino.

Why doesn't the Toronto event have its own thread? Does anyone know how much the sample tickets will cost? I know it's for charity but $25 only includes one sample. Need to know how much cash to bring along! :)

Didn't see many of the usual suspects there yesterday, but there was a pretty decent turn out for the event at the Rhino yesterday.

Highlights for me included Booby Trap Trippel (Wellington/Grand River) - not necessarily to style but deliciously hoppy, Bellwoods Omerta, and a surprise for me - Granite's Sweet N Smokey smoked dunkelweizen. Probably the best smoked beer I have had in ages, possibly ever? Finally a base beer that can stand up to the smoke! Pairing it with bacon didn't hurt either. Om nom nom!
A bunch of other good ones as well.
