The beer list has been out for a bit now: http://caskdays.com/oncask

I'm especially looking forward to Donkey Venom, Storm Imperial Flanders Red, Jacques Buteux, Sartori Harvest and Wells & Young Courage RIS.

All-told I tallied 33 beers I consider must-trys. Heh.

So I'm going through this list and feeling overwhelmed with the amount of beer to try. What are people's top picks? Especially in the UK and other non-Ontario beers?

This might help you a little. This is my cheat sheet for session 1. A * in front of the beer means they're cutting the cask off to save for later sessions, so I should try it early. A * after just means I really want to try it. The numbers after the beer are ABV (BA/RB)

I basically pulled out the highly rated UK things as things to try, but there were quite a few of them that weren't even in RB or BA yet, so it's very possible I'm missing things. I plan on encouraging my friends to try all the UK stuff so I know if I missed anything good.

Ahhh, I didn't realize just how many "more" beers were being tapped at session 1, so now I understand the run on tickets for that session.
I can only make it on Sunday for session 3, at which 28 new casks will be tapped.....still quite amazing. Hoping some of those 104 from session one will still be kicking around.
Looks like it's going to be a great event.

Your numbers don't seem to match up with the current official list. Might make it tough to find the beers?

It looks like a couple of beers moved sessions too, that or I made mistakes. Either way, I updated the other post with the right numbers and cut a few out that were in other sessions.

Anyone have any idea if there will be vegetarian-friendly eats there? The food vendor list looks pretty meaty, to say the least.

Yep. If you made your list from when it was initially released you'll need to update it. The last update from earlier this week completely changed the numbers around and swapped around some beers available during some sessions. I had to completely redo my spreadsheet.

Given how the "table" was done in HTML it couldn't easily be mass copied & pasted either. I was in the process of writing a shell script to strip out the HTML and align up the text properly. I realized I'd waste more time working out the logic for getting everything properly in place and debugging things than manually copying and pasting each session one and all sessions lines. Ugh.

This just screams out for a nice web based thing that you register for, select the beers you want to try and generate PDF, CSV or just print out the result.

Despite me being a computer geek professionally I hate doing web stuff so I'm not particularly adept at it.

I have an ugly suspicion on how things are going to unfurl with the all sessions beers. Ugh. Ugh. Ugh. I just hope they're in an area that can deal with the initial onslaught of volume. :-?

Do you think its best to go for the all-session beers first?

I really want to try Black Betty, Hopspur, and Liquid Mistress...

If memory serves, each session gets less than a cask of the all-session beers, but a full cask of the ones that only go to an individual session. There are about 5 beers I simply must have, but after that I'm targetting the all-session stuff first, then going for the rest.
