BREWS n BANDS - Casbah's 3rd Annual JUNE 7 + a NEW twist!

In June of 2011 the fine folks at The Casbah (home to large doses of quality live music) made the bold move to change over it’s beer menu to a 100% independent product. It was then the term “craft beer” arguably became a common term to Hamilton concert goers.

Each June since, to celebrate this initiative, The Casbah has hosted a celebration that pairs it’s two favourite things. Music and beer. They now close their 3rd year under this model, and show no signs of letting up.

This year The Casbah has evolved even further with it’s flagship beer event. To truly spotlight how quickly the craft movement has come, Brews N Bands has invited only the newest of breweries to participate. Each participant will be 3 years old, or younger. Customers will be able to sample the newest beers in the province. The Casbah couldn’t be happier to see one of it’s favourite breweries share in their excitement for the movement. Mill Street Brewery joins in by supporting Brews N Bands as a presenter.

*The 3rd Annual BREWS N’ BANDS, CRAFT BEER FESTIVAL presented by Mill Street* takes place Saturday June 7th, 2014.* Over 15 of the finest & newest Ontario craft breweries will showcase their tasty brews to the masses. And like in the past, it will close with a live musical performance (stay tuned for the special announcements on who will be there).

Tickets ($25) go on sale for this event starting Tuesday, April 8th
at 9 a.m. Ticket outlets will include The Casbah (during bar hours),

With LFB saying the AGCO is cracking down on contract brewers from selling at festivals, how badly does that affect this event?

Well you've got 5 breweries left, but this may not be affected if the Casbah doesn't need an SOP for this event

Shouldn't affect the Casbah since they'd be operating under their own liquor license and not an SOP. (I'll let them chime in here if I'm wrong).

Same thing with the beer festivals at The Only and C'est What.

Apologies. I didn't see these questions.

The doors open at 3pm, and the sampling session runs until 8pm.
Then the sampling ends & the cash bar opens, followed at 9pm by
the live bands.

Sampling runs from 3pm to 8pm.
Live music (with cash bar, no sampling) runs 9pm-12am.
Govern your time and liver accordingly

Really excited about this today. Had a great time last year. Wasn't over crowded and everyone was super friendly.
