Vaughn/Woodbridge...

Post by Coronaeus »

I was hoping that someone might be able to help me out in finding a half-decent place to grab a beer near Vaughn Mills? Even something further south and as far south as Yorkdale might work, say between Bathurst and Jane?

I'm trying to find a decent place to meet up with a trading partner who is coming into town, but rarely if ever have had a drink north of the 401.

Thanks, and cheers.

You'd be able to at least find Muskoka on tap at Joey's in Yorkdale.

Maybe something going on at Black Creek?

I've lived up here and worked up here for years. Your best bet is a local LCBO and a brown bag in your car. Vaughan blows.

Classic comment. Summing up an amazingly complex relationship in 12 basic letters.

I can see it. It does not provide what you desire in terms of beer supply in any way, shape or form and yet you are mere minutes/hours ( from my point of view) from the best Ontario answers - Granite, Bellwoods, Indie, Black Oak, etc...

I have heard rumor of 2 different breweries in Vaughan. Frankly, I'm shocked.
C'mon - one being zoo based with all sorts of crazy fur based incarnations and the other trying to provide one beer that they do very, very moderately well. See the curse?

They must fit in no matter what the business model is. A brewery in Vaughan cannot be average. In Grimsby your ok but Vaughan not so much. You must have a Canadian clone but also a Rickards Red clone and and Arrogant Bastard clone.

All reasonable. Tough one for for all start ups. I wish them all well

Kinda figured it wouldn't be easy. I'll see if I can convince him to come further south. Thanks everyone.

The irish pub by ikea might have some mill street on tap. Thats about as good as it gets in woodbridge. The Kleinburg pub might have some King on tap if its open.

Fionn MacCool's at Hwy 7 and 27 has a decent selection for the area. I recall Erdinger and Detour on tap when I was there in the summer. And some Unibroue bottles.

Longchamp Pub in Kleinburg may have King on tap. It did the last time I was there, but that is a couple of years ago now.
