Dear candidates

We are newly born Canadain company located in Toronto, looking for a seasoned Brewmaster with hands-on operational experience, ready to lead in all aspects of brewery development – from design and development of new breweries to recipe creation and execution of some ridiculously good beers.

We want to export our beer into global markets specially ignored by giants in this industry. We will be catering niche market with our premium quality beer. Premium quality comes with great brewer and we are looking for right candidate and ready to pay top dollars.

Qualifications

You should have experience to develop great recepie along with functional or basic knowledge of on aspects such as equipment selection, optimal brewery design layout and lab requirements.

You should have understanding on barrel-aging, sours, yeast strains, hop varieties, grain varieties, grain roasts, etc.

You should be unafraid to make mistakes, but understand how to apply their learning to achieving beer excellence.

People management experience a plus.

Awesomeness a must.

Essential Functions / Responsibilities

4+ years into business, we are looking for someone to bring strong opinions into matters of best management practices, systems, organization, record keeping and cleanliness.

someone tell the OP that they'd best be served to open in a less expensive area than toronto. you need space for barrels and time for sours.

Sure, but they're also putting up all the financial risk. It's a terribly written posting, but provided the salary is reasonable it's not an unfair setup.

It is refreshingly progressive to see someone looking to focus on international exports rather than on the ubiquitous "drink local" myopia that has a hold over so much of the craft scene.
