I was able to grab tickets again this year. Super excited, especially about the French Vanilla Militia variant.

Looks like the weather is going to be shit again though.

I went for the first time this year. Managed a French Vanilla Militia (Group A), so pretty stoked. Other than the weather it was a beautiful event. The music was rather toned down, unlike what I expected, so that was great. Had a nice tour of FFF the night before, that was the highlight for me. Would bang again.

Good to hear. But without personal tales of overconsumption and avoiding detainment by authorities I'd say you were too serious and weren't metal enough.

All in all, it was a great event this time. Plenty of bottle sharing, some great taps, lot less crowded, absolutely no lines to get the DL bottles, washroom lines were quick, no mud(!) and some good metal bands.

Cons: VERY long lines for food, the North entrance was a joke, crappy weather and I've read plenty stories of bottles getting stolen.

Got the Trump and Pump variant, which they handed them out randomly though.

I know it's not for everyone, but we went quite prepared this time. I think that helped make it an enjoyable time.

Haha :)

Yeah well I didn't want to take any chances with the nice beer I was carrying. But they did get a city alcohol permit for the entire industrial park, so legally, the drinking in line was all good THIS year... I am also getting old man.

Sounds like a tour of duty! :) Glad it went well with nothing stolen from your stash. It's wrong to steal beer - any beer!
