La Terrible in beer stores?
I'm sorry, next time I'll be more explicit in order too avoid awkward situations. I cannot help myself when it comes to Trois Pistoles which I personally hold in high regards. In my opinion, and there was a time when we debated this on Bartowel, this brew is on the same level with Chimay Blue. Some of my beer geek friends and I once did a parallel tasting between the two (both aged for 2-3 years) and couldn't declare a winner. Nevertheless I was pleasantly surprised to see the close score level between the two and quite desevedly so.
The Academy of Spherical Arts. Under $20.00/bottle. A very nice treat and, IMO, age has been extremely kind to this brew.Belgian wrote:No, I'm just being a pain as always.Manul wrote:I'm sorry, next time I'll be more explicit in order too avoid awkward situations.

Well I popped into the Beer Store at Dupont and Bathurst after work to pick up a couple of bottles of La Terrible and they do not have them in yet. Quelle Surprise!
Happy Hunting, Cheers, Doug

Doug that's odd they don't list inventory correctly. And thank you for saving me a trip.
Take it easy,
JK.

I've learned from past experience that the "Brands at this Store" list on the Beer Store website isn't not an inventory listing, it's just a list of brands that the store carries. There is no guarentee that a particular product will be in stock at any given time (unless it's one of the Top Ten sellers, of course).Belgian wrote:Doug that's odd they don't list inventory correctly.

Yea this is a pain. I know they have no competition in a monopoly but they seem to lack even basic courtesies the LCBO offers - item inventory checks, item store finders, and accepting credit card payment. It seems with the knuckle-dragging Beer Store it's their way or the highway.Jan Primus wrote:So the beer store doesn't list inventory on their webpage? Anyone know if there is any Terrible at any beer stores? thanks.
Please do advise if anyone finds La Terrible in certain stores.

No but they returned my empty from Christmas!
I was not all that crazy about La Terrible actually. Still have a bomber to give it a second try, but Trois Pistoles seems far more integrated & tasty.
