From their newsletter:
The Good Beer Folks are the first in Canada to embrace a sustainable beer cup, launched this summer onto patios and at outdoor events. This bio-plastic cup contains no petroleum, is made from 100% renewable resources and takes about 48 days to break down in commercial compost. Actually, a couple of years ago I brought some of these cups into Ontario to use at Feast of Fields, an organic food and beverage event where we annually pour St. Peter's Organic English. We didn't use many because they supplied consumers with glass. I still have them and will use them whenever I can but they're a great idea. Apparently made from corn sugars. So, Steamwhistle ain't the first!
