It's 100% true that we don't need any more lager in Ontario.

The only reason I'm happy that Brooklyn Lager has been added to the general listing is the slight hope that Brooklyn's other, better beers, might make some appearances.

I'd like to see Dieu du Ciel's Péché Mortel. I mean, it's right there...one province over.

That's good news.

Any chance of organizing a DFH private order at the same time? Some 90 Minute and Immort Ale would be nice. I'm sure that I'm not the only one who would be interested in a case or two.

Look, don't worry about reported DFH's concerns - just take 2 hours to hit a good NYS store, buy all their products without the hoopla to save the six months wait as well as the bloated 30% of the LCBO premium on the price. That is what I will do to spend my Yule brew budget. XOXO LCBO.

We will never import it legally, thanks to regulations. I emailed those guys.

Before or after they started talking about opening a brewery? If they have a brewery there is no legal reason for not being able to get their stuff here, same as we get Unibroue products.

That would be a very good development indeed.

Technically, with their existing brewpub licence, DdC can export to the LCBO just as they did to the states if a person was to special order.
But they do not have the capacity now.
The beer sells so fast at the pub that it is crazy!
They pulled 36 bombers that were aged 1 year out of their coldroom and these sold out in less than a day with no advance warning.
Yummy, gotta love those little surprises in life :>)
The planned brewery is definitely a go, hopefuly operational June 2007 and you can be sure that Peche will make it's way to our friend Ralph at Volo.

Cheers,

Larry Kress
