Volo Next Sunday

Post by DougShoemaker »

Ralph tells me that Volo will be open next Sunday for the Pride Day Parade. They'll only be serving the beers on tap. I plan to drop in and enjoy the parade while drinking some fine Ontario beer!

Cheers, Doug

Maybe Volo could serve Skittlebrau for the occasion?

Perhaps a cask of London Pride would be more politically correct?

(I don't think I'll be in town though).

At the risk of sounding like a broken record, can I ask for some clarification on what Volo's current weekday opening hours actually are? The website still claims that
Starting May 6, Volo will be closed on Sundays. Monday through Saturday we will be open from 12pm to 2am. Dinner starts at 5.30pm, kitchen is open until 11pm.
but it was certainly closed when I passed by this afternoon. Other than on Saturdays, are they ever open before 4pm?

maybe you should read the post immediately after the one you just linked to... (copied here, emphasis mine)

the website has also had the correct information since carl made that comment. across the bottom it says "Mon-Fri 4p-1a, Sat 12p-2a, Sun Closed".

I did indeed read it, but it doesn't answer my question about when they are open during the week, does it?

Together with the contradictory and presumably incorrect information that
Starting May 6, Volo will be closed on Sundays. Monday through Saturday we will be open from 12pm to 2am. Dinner starts at 5.30pm, kitchen is open until 11pm.
How am I to know which is correct? I'm just a would-be customer, after all.

Yeah, I hear you. I'm not 100% sure either.

I was at Volo last Monday at around 2:30pm. They were open for drinks only but weren't very busy. Mondays are their $4 draft days. A $4 Denisons Weissbier is brilliant. Too bad the St. Ambroise Oatmeal Stout doesn't qualify. I'd rotate between the two all day if I had the chance.

you raised the point that there was contradictory information, carl posted that the previous info was incorrect and then updated the website. seemed pretty clear to me. but what do i know, i'm just a would-be customer, after all.

Quite. Perhaps someone who actually does know could help us out.

Oh and I forgot to mention when I was there at 2:30pm last Monday the hours on the door said they didn't open until 4pm. That could be part of the reason why there were only about 6 people there.
