While the special dances are very important, safety is an important factor.
That's why the naked dancing in a brewery must be done using CSA approved rubber boots.
PS we are also saving up for a disco ball, as all really cool breweries have one or two.

cheers ken

Hi Everyone
We've bottled and kegged up Our Nutcracker Porter.
Some kegs are oozing there way into pubs (Volo & Dr. Generosity) are stocked.

This years edition is unfiltered, which seems to put a bit more body and permit the cinnamon to have more presence (instead of being lost in the filter). As a result we did not loose as much from filtering (as in previous years). We almost doubled the bottle production. It's very good and you're lucky we're sharing!!!! My guess is that we should have enough to last until Christmas.

Bottles will be available via the retail store.
Prices (for the seasonal beers) are as follows:
6-Pack $12.25
12-Pack $22.75
24-Pack $43.25

Retail store hours are posted on daily voicemail 905-339-1037
Store hours normally are Mon-Fri 9:30-3:00 & Sat 10-3:30
UNLESS THERE IS AN EVENT OR SHOW (such as the Gourmet food & Wine show weekend of Nov 15-18 ) OR I NEED TO GET AN EMERGENCY PART OR DO AN EMERGENCY DELIVERY.

Home delivery can be done in the Toronto Area Provided the following:
Minimum order 4 24-Packs.
I get very good directions
I have a credit card number
there will be someone there to recieve the order
(I spent too much time last year trying to connect to some people who weren't home, so if you're not there i'm dropping it on your door and processing the charge to your card and hope that the beer will not get stolen!!!!!)

So from all of us at Black Oak, Me, Adrian, Simon & Bryce have a safe and happy holiday season.

Thanx & Cheers from under the desk of:
Ken

I just had a bottle of the porter and it's right up there with the Scotch Irish Plain Porter. I need to do a side-by-side comparison to better compare the two, but for now, I think the Nutcracker holds the edge. Very good porter.

Had some on tap at Cest What this week and I have to say I am pleased to see the cinnamon showing up more prominently. It was quite a quaffable brew.

I can see a Sunday Brunch at the Dc. is in order for some tasty Nutcracker with my food.

I should also try and get out to Oakville to get some bottles for over the holidays.

I was just wondering the same thing. My girlfriend is trying to get me to drive her out to Mississauga for her to do lunch with friends this Saturday. She dangled the "You could drive to Oakville to pick up some Nutcracker" carrot in front of me.

Evil creatures them.

It's quite the carrot too. I had a quicky Nutcracker pint before returning later to work tonight. 8) Good stuff. I'm looking forward to the cask version.

According to Black Oak's voicemail message, the retail store will be closed on Saturday.

Now the evil creature needs to find a new carrot...
