OK guys, here is what is available at the moment...we'll keep you posted on future offerings...all cases are 24 bottles...it has been suggested that we can pick a date and have the beer available for pick up at Smokeless', that is if there is enough interest to make it worthwhile:

Chimay Blue Cap $3.50
Chimay Red Cap $3.40
Rochefort 8 $3.55
Achel 8 $3.65
Maredsous 6 $3.05
Maredsous 8 $3.15
Maredsous 10 $3.30
Corsendonk Pater $3.10
Bush Ambree $3.05
Verboden Vrucht $3.30
Floreffe Double $3.10

Read these prices and weep, Premier Gourmet!
If all interested parties will post their interest on this thread, we'll tally it all up in a week or so and see if it's worth everyone's time. I would suggest a minimum requirement of 6 bottles of any of the beers and that they be ordered in multiples of 6. Cheers....Peter.

Put me down for 6 of the Corsendonk Christmas Ale and 6 of the Bush de Noel.

Picking up at Joe's works for me.

Being quite poor, I guess I'll have to settle for the minimum 6 of the Chimay Blue Cap.

Joe's pickup also works for me.

Perhaps I misunderstood, but I thought we were going to buy 4 or 5 or 6 different cases, splitting both the cost and beer. In essence, that would mean each of us were to commit to buying a case.

I have no problem with 4 people getting together to buy a case, but this will cause a logistical nightmare and hardly be worth Peter's time.

This is what I'd like to do

1 case Achel = 87.60
1 case Corsendonk Christmas = 74.40
1 case Bush Ambree = 73.20
1 case Floreffe Double = $74.40

That would total $309.20 (I think) or $77.30 each (plus applicable taxes).

Just for clarification, Peter, which of the beers are not currently or soon to be available in the LCBO? Won't the Maredsous be available come Christmas? I'm really only interested in the beers I cannot otherwise get.

Cheers, Joe.

Joe, frankly, I don't care how we approach this. Needless to say, I won't sell a part case so if there is not enough interest in any one beer, then we won't deliver it. I don't know that I fully understand what it is you propose either. You're ordering 4 cases but do you intend to split them up and, if so, with whom?
In regards to the beers ordered, all 3 of the Maredsous beers will be available as part of a gift pack with a glass.

I'm proposing that four of us go together and buy four different cases and take six of each beer.

The problem there is finding four people who want the same four beers.

I'm also willing to be flexible, though I see little point in buying something that I can get at the LCBO. That's also the point of these posts, though, isn't it? To come to some sort of agreement on what to purchase. We are constrained by the LCBO and the necessity to buy cases, but that's why we find ourselves in this situation.

I'm willing to change one or two of the choices but I really want to try Achel. Also, we could add another case (or two) and another person (or two), though we might have trouble dividing the lot if our numbers don't go into 24 evenly (though,I don't see this as an insurmountable obstacle)

Cheers, Joe.

Joe, the only products I'm offering that will be available at the LCBO are the Maredsous beers which will be in a gift pack. Buying from me the 3 beers would cost you $9.50, the gift pack will be $11.95 for the same 3 plus a glass so if you want 6 Maredsous 10's you'll have to buy 6 glasses and 6 each of the other 2 beers as well. Aside from that, Chimay Red is the same as Premiere but the single serving 330ml bottle makes a difference. In regards to how you order, let's just keep the thread going and see what happens...I suspect you'll find that there is not enough interest to put together full cases.

I'll also go for a 6 pack of each;
Corsendonk Christmas Ale & Bush de Noel.

A Joe's pickup is good for me as well.

I'll also get 6 of each:
Corsendonk Christmas Ale & Bush de Noel

There's a full 24 of each!

Pickup at Joe's is cool for me too.

Of those listed, I'd be interested in:

*Corsendonk Christmas
*Bush Ambree
Verboden Vrucht
*Floreffe Dubbel
*Achel 8
Rochefort 8
Maredsous 8 (or 10)

The four marked with an (*) are in common with at least one other person. I will also be flexible if it is necessary to make up case amounts, particularly with the Bush Ambree vs. Noel, and the Maredsous 8 vs. 10.

I'd have to get more info on a pickup at Joe's, unless I could get someone closer (Joe Cappadocia, or someone else in Hamilton?) to let me pick it up from them.

I presume we can also consider moving to 4 bottles instead of 6 if the numbers demand it?
