Sounds delicious. I'll keep an eye out for it when I'm down south.Belgian wrote: After the brief shock of sweetness, I really loved it. Lots of layers with demerera, raisiny dark fruit and apple with hints of cherry, lemon and espresso. Slight dryness with some mineral. A very complex sipper.
Last night at The Rhino and Bellwoods Brewery:
Muskoka Spring Oddity (draught)
Bellwoods Berliner Weisse (draught)
Bellwoods Lost River Baltic Porter (draught)
Bellwoods Witchshark Imperial IPA (draught)

I prefer The much easier-to-get GI BCBS. I found it had a light ashy astringency not present in the GI. It's good beer, just I was so hyped into it it ended up not living up to expectations.
Glad I didn't trade too much for it.

Meh, I enjoyed them both (had them side by side at the brewpub, first batch) but agreed with you and thought KBS better but would enjoy CBS as much in particular situation, say dessert sipper. Both fine beers and while base is same, very different.grub wrote:lets fan the flames!
i love KBS, but think CBS is totally overrated - much rather have any of the other founders stouts over it. i think it's rated higher purely on rarity.
