Weihenstephaner Hefe Weissbier
Schneider Brooklyner Hopfen Weisse (x2)
And then I went all Gary and mixed 2/3 Alley Kat Pumpkin Pie with 1/3 Old Yale Sasquatch stout to create a pumpkin stout. The spice & roast blended well together to give a nicely balanced pumpkin, spiced stout.

The 1/3 pumpkin & 2/3 Stout didn't fair as well, but still a little tasty.

That sounds good Sid, I'd call the first blend a Black Pumpkin. The second one is more to what I would call a Pumpkin Stout, where a rich stout is the basis and the pumpkin provides a spiced and squash flavour. Proportions are important, an ounce difference here or there can make all the difference to what you like.

Sampled yesterday at 6 Pints: its new Cascade Dark. Very solid interpretation of the Black IPA/Cascade Dark style. As all their beers, they have a lot of retained CO2 and I like to transfer it to a second glass to knock out half of it, the result is more flavourful. But this one is 60 IBUs and you get a solid taste even with full CO2 and ice cold.

Excellent blend! I find the cocoa note in the Young's rather forward and the blend should reduce it so as to offer a more traditional stout character while still presenting a chocolate note.

St-Ambroise's stout is fine on its own but a little "help" from London, where porter and stout originated, can't hurt surely. :)

Lost Abbey Deliverance Ale.

I finally broke down and bought one of these despite the issues I have had with their bottling in the past. The carbonation is very low but not low enough to ruin the beer, like the Angel's Share I had recently.

Tasty, but not worth the price tag.

yeah Gary, the flavours really mixed well for a decent "breakfast" stout.

left the bottles out for the second pint and that was the even better, once warmed the cocoa from Youngs accented the Oatmeal just perfectly.

At the cottage this weekend. Largely consumed Saturday night after experiencing the worst storm I've ever seen up there, trying to prevent our boats from being carried off like the ones at the next cottage. Bailing everywhere.

Lots of St Ambroise Oatmeal
St Ambroise RIS
Lots of Red Racer, Crazy Canuck
Samuel Smith Oatmeal
Grand River Highballer

Earlier tonight @ the Ship w/ Streets, Electroluminescent:

Crazy Canuck
Golden Beach
Boneshaker

a surprise tapping of another Calm Before the Storm keg prompted a shared pitcher to cap off the night.
A shark on whisky is mighty risky. A shark on beer is a beer engineer.

I'm drinking the (2012!) Muskoka Harvest, very tasty by itself and also pairs extremely well with this.
