Nothing Schmancy -
At home with a nice smashbomb and maybe I'll crack a Vicar's Vice later.
Last night at the Rhino, I had a full pint of the stuff for 5.25...and THAT's why I love the Rhino...

I agree on the Aphrodisiaque....it's incredible on tap at the brewpub. I was there about a week and 1/2 ago and couldn't stop drinking it! Had it in bottles a while back and (while good) it's just not the same!Belgian wrote:Beautiful beer when it's 'on' which is usually 'On Tap' somewhere.Bytowner wrote:Derniere Volonte. Same for DDC Aphrodisiaque, it's a whole 'nother level on draught at the brew pub (although I still buy cases of it cheaply at Provigo in Montreal.)

That's the way she goes. Sometimes she goes, sometimes it doesn't. She didn't go. That's the way she goes.
Simple Malt Cascade Plus IPA - Brasseurs Illimités
Very powerful caramel flavour takes centre stage with some earthy/herbal hops, not what I expected in a double IPA.
Does anyone else find that many IPAs from Quebec miss the mark on the hop character in IPAs and focus too much on the malt flavours? I've had about 8 or 10 now that just don't live up to the IPA style in terms of hop flavour.
