And then went over & picked up at the bottle store:

A good beer evening indeed...

Augusta Ale Extra Hopped cask @ the Only.
w/ Natural Burger from Burger Shoppe Queen/Broadview
(... even though they still have the $5.00 Burger Week special extended for now, I really like the Natural - it's just not my thing to cover up good beef burger flavors even with very well-made chili.)

Heh, I still have one last bottle. Not sure what I'm waiting for, but as good as it is, I just have no desire to drink it. Maybe I can share it.NRman wrote:GLB 25th Black IPA - still as great as the day it was bottled!
Beyond The Pale Hop On Your Face (not as good as the first time I had it...definite alcohol burn and sweetness that throws me off)
Charlevoix Vache Folle Simcoe DIPA (bit too much simcoe for me...prefer, say, GLB Johnny Simcoe)
Benelux/Zulogaarden Catapulte (definitely one of the best Quebec IPA's I've had)
May 7th date on the back of the bottle. It's been appearing at all my usual Quebec beer stops across the river recently.
Admittedly I don't follow Quebec breweries as much as I should, but I believe most if not all of Charlevoix's single hop beers have been brewed multiple times. Perhaps the recipes have changed a bit, not sure.

They were pouring it at the Festibiere de Gatineau so I guess it's back.jrenihan wrote:Has this been brewed again, or was it an old bottle? I was under the (mistaken?) impression that Charlevoix's single hop DIPAs were a one-time only thing.Kekumba wrote: Charlevoix Vache Folle Simcoe DIPA (bit too much simcoe for me...prefer, say, GLB Johnny Simcoe)
