Opened up a large bottle of La Trappe Quad from the last major LCBO release, 2011 vintage. Wow has it ever blossomed at the moment. The new forward flavour is candied sugar, like candy floss. Think Rochefort 10 (been drinking that lately as well) but much smoother overall. Just so smooth. Great.

Driftwood Sartori Harvest

If the next two bottles I have are anything like this one, I may have a new favourite Canadian brewed IPA. Peachy, piney greatness.

I picked up a few of those as well... great stuff, though I think I actually prefer the Fat Tug as an IPA.

The Hoyne Wolf Vine wet-hopped pale ale is quite good as well. Same Sartori hops, but in a pale ale with marris otter. I need to buy more of these (the Driftwood sold out in a few hours).

I thought it was lovely! It's reviewing well on ratebeer. Also $6.95 for a 750ml is not too bad when we have turds like Lake of Bays IPA @ $8.95

You should try it!

Bunch of homebrews on the back deck, finished up with Pliny the Elder and Heady Topper.

Not a bad way to finish the warm sunny days!

I bought all 3 of the regular offerings that Premier had and have enjoyed both the Vieille and the Hop Savant so far and both are fantastic. I would enjoy them now.
