on separate nights, btw.
LaTrappe was 'meh' compared to the other two ... too thin.

La Terrible was incredible. Really balanced.

17 is still a little warm/boozy. I'm interested to see what more time will do for it.

Last few days...

Founders Breakfast Stout
Lagunitas Sucks
DDC Moralite
Big Rig Chocolate Cherry Stout
Alpine Nelson
Pit Caribou DIPA
Dunham/Kissmeyer Snowy Spring Pilsner

Bellwoods, bring back Monogamy Nelson Sauvin. Seriously.

Did Big Rig actually have a decent beer?

No. The cherry is non-existent, rest of the beer is just okay. I do like their Hopfenweiss, however.

I did get a 25oz snifter at Ikea, though, so the trip out there was a success.

On cask at the Ottawa Food & Wine show it was delicious, but I agree that on tap at the brewery it was a different beer. Have a bottle but I am not raising any hopes on it.

Agree on the Hopefnweiss and actually enjoy all their offerings other than the Gold. Different strokes I guess.

just stocked up DDC Moralite again. I feel like this is the first locally available beer that will actually cut the number of my cross border beer buying trips down. No need to fuss over flower-power/sculpin/twohearted/etc any more.

What's the date on them? I bought a few from BDM yesterday bottled Dec 5th. 7 weeks and they're tasting quite nice.

Will be drinking a Founders Porter or something even darker when I get home tonight. I need it.
