Dude, good call! Thanks for reminding me. I've got a pile of those in the basement and they're getting a little long in the tooth.

That sounds great!

We need something like this in London. I'm sick of having to travel all over the place just to try these beers. Greyhounding all over the province sucks!! It would be nice to have the access many of you other folks do! Don't take it for granted!

Ok, just finished a Headstrong Munich. This is actually very good, sharp and hoppy, with an almost minty profile, and a great buy at $1.80 till tomorrow.

Next, the Icebocked version of Youngs!

Ok so drinking the Icebock style Youngs Stout. it certainly works. I got about 350 ml from the original 500 ml, and I can feel the ABv in my face, it is warming. But I am already blitzed, so that may also be a factor. Who the heck knows!

All hail the icebock style brews!

Matt, I hate you. After all this time waiting for this thing to freeze, I realize I'm drinking a semi-imperial stout ice cold! Now I have to wait for it to warm! Bloody hell.

Off a 500ml bottle I think I've got about 250 or 300ml. It has retained enough carbonation - lightly carbonated but definitely not flat. Tastes like Young's but a little fuller in the mouthfeel. I'm not sure all the chocolate has been captured but you definitely get a note of it, along with the classic roasty flavours of a stout/imperial. It's a bit hard to call this an imperial... but it's not bad. Enjoyable. Nice side benefit is to eat the "sorbet".

Made it through at least 15 samples tonight, too tired to bother checking the sheet, but definite highlights were Russian Gun and Amsterdam Spring Bock
