Just had a miami weisse that i picked up from the brewery after last night project x. Best be i have had in awhile. Definetly the stand out beer that i had last night. Now i am drinking a hitachino ginger ale. Not bad, but not great. Not exactly sure what i thought it would taste like, but this isnt it. Not worth the money for it in my opinion.

My last bottle of Jerome Andean Argentine Style stout, with a handful of 'broken' BC cherries thrown in for good measure. The sweet cherry really kicks this wonderful stout up a notch.

Had 4 pints at Chancey Smith's last night, and 3 tonight. Top notch!

Wellington S.P.A... This is a good beer, however freshness is the key. Beer store on Spadina, your 50 is fresh, your craft beer is fermented piss.

Then again, nothing really can give me the hop kick I need after a hopslam.

Headstrong Black & Tan. This beer has everything right about it and nothing wrong. The stout element has a roasty Guinness-like note, but the APA hops add some needed backbone without giving the beer a catty or piny note. Perfectly balanced yet fresh and natural, everything a good beer needs to be.

I wasn't really impressed by the Headstrong, at all. HOWEVER, the Hockley Valley Black and Tan I had yesterday pleasantly surprised me by how much I enjoyed it. It reminded me of their one-off casks - 'Black Forest Stout' and 'Peanut Butter and Jame' - they did for Cask Days before. It struck me as more of just a plain old Irish Dry, of which it makes a solid example, in my opinion.

How was the maibock? I have a bottle on hand here, and I'm kinda curious.

Drinking some Creemore Keller... awesome lager for the summer.

"750ml bottle shared with jsprime, his bottle, thx for the share jeff! pours clears golden with a lasting white head. nose of honey comb, nobel hops, pale malt structure. the flavour is similar to the nose. big boozy all malt pale lager. best maibock ever. 8/5/9/5/17 4.4/5"

A wonderful fresh bottle of Anchor Liberty Ale. One of the very first American ales I ever drank, and to this day is still one of my favourites.
