Just finished a Sartori Harvest IPA. Another very good beer from BC.

A 50:50 blend of Highlander Pale and Prima Pils. Comes out tasting like a West Coast Amber.

All the posts on blending beers inspired me too. I am drinking a 50/50 split of the Grand River Highballer Pumpkin and Sighna Stout and it is delicious. Still has enough of the pumpkin pie flavour to go with the chocolate and roast from the stout.

Alley Kat 15th Anniversary Apple Wit. Not a fan of apple in beer in general, but the assertive tartness and sourness in this version make it a winner for me.

Another Black IPA of my own making. 2 parts Fuller Porter, one part Liberty Ale. I think I've gotten used to the cut and thrust of a modern APA or DIPA, the hops seemed toned down in this blend. Still, very nice, a refined Black IPA.

A 2 year old bottle of Peche Mortel that was in the cellar in my old place in Richmond Hill until this afternoon.

Notdan, how was the AMB beer? curiosity has yet to get the better of me on their new line of beers.

Drinking a Nasty Habit IPA right now. A good IPA, but not a great one.

The new AMB are slightly better then there old ones in the fact there are no infected bottles. The quality of the beer still isn't great.

And for some reason everything is "imperial"

The new AMB beers, from what I've tried, have been significantly better than the old ones (though I only tried about three of the old ones since they had a bad reputation).

So far my favourites are the Champenoise (light fruity BSPA), Imperial Stout (very herbal and interesting), and Scotch Ale (though I seem to be in the minority on this one). I wasn't big on the IPA personally. The Noire and Rousse were decent. Belge Ambree was ok, but kinda boozy.
