North Coast Old Stock Brandy Barrel 07

HOOOOO-LEEEEE FUUUUUCK

This is a world beater amongst world class beers. Absolutely perfect. The balance is remarkable. I can't think of a better B-wine.

This will be my new highest scored beer on RB.

Last night I picked up a Festivale from Beau's and an Old Credit Amber Ale from the LC.

I love Festivale! I bought the very last bottle so hopefully they will restock.

However, Old Credit Amber Ale didn't appeal to me at all! I wanted to give it a chance but it has a sort of "rotten" aftertaste to it. I won't be picking it up again.

Mikkeller Black Hole Bourbon Barrel Aged (bottle)- Thanks so much Nigel!

That black hole was mighty drinkable for the strength.
My pleasure Len. Absolutely delicious stuff I agree!

Oud Beersel Oude Gueuze, sometimes with a dash of the sweeter Lindemans Kriek.

I am enjoying this with spicy, authentic Indian food which is now cold but only slightly oily. Gueuze, I may be slowly staring to 'get'. It has a really cutting sourness that is like nothing else, and matches slightly heavy food.

A 2003 bottle of Victory V-10. One of the old remnants of my former fabulous cellar, being held in purgatory. Shared with the D-master! This has held up remarkably well. Slightly oxidized but the pit fruits come out with finesse and are very well balanced.

Luc, you may not remember, but thanks for the trade......years ago! :)
Merci!

Other than that, I have been having a few standard offerings like Blue and Bud.

I don't always piss in a bottle but when I do...I prefer to call it Dos Equis.

Great line up Mikey boy!

How was the Green Flash?
Even in bottles when I have been lucky enough to try it, I have always found it to be very "green" and fresh. A great beer to be able to try on draught!

Pretty good, though the malt profile was surprisingly nutty for a DIPA (and this was a very fresh keg). I preferred the Summer Camp and Avant Garde. :D
