At the great lakes retail store:

Swamp juice ipa
Blonde lager

At home from the great lakes retail store:

My bitter wife ipa
Hanlan point coconut coffee porter
Those chocolate covered cherry things Belgian quad

The porter and quad were both great. I wish I didn't live over an hour away from the brewery.
You know what I have in my cellar? Dust, I have dust in my cellar.

Stone Double Bastard, really nice. Bold and mellow all at once.
Damn, it reminds me a bit of a serious Belgian Tripel or something with the complex hop flavors, solid body, and marmelade citrus layers. It could be a De Dolle brew of some kind.

I always avoid getting to 'stronger' beers but when I finally do I seem to really enjoy them.
Speak of that time to comb through the cellar!

Over the past few days:
London Pride-my go-to session beer
Great Lakes sunnyside-not a fan of this,so thin and the flavours don't do it for me. I preferred limp puppet
Muskoka oddity-yep,I still hate it....but at least now it only cost a tall boy to re-confirm my thoughts.
Cuvée jacobins-excellent, glad to see it back at the lcbo. Stocked up this time around
Amsterdam homegrown saison-probably one of the best Ontario saison I've had. Very drinkable. However, for the $ I'd rather pay an extra 1-2$ and get GI sofie.....or better yet saison DuPont(sigh)
Bellwoods grandmas boy- outfuckingstanding. Damn near perfection, so drinkable with great stone fruit flavours and funk with a beautiful sourness
Spirit tree draft cider(can)-I much prefer this to the bottled version, but still not my favourite cider

Yeah the dark strong Trappists seem to age very well. I liked it.

Having a Stone Oaked Arrogant Bastard, again enjoying it more than I thought. Has a more moderate alcohol than the powerful Double. The hops are less marlelade-y (which I loved) and more piney and grapefruit-pithy, a touch leafy. The oak wood intertwines beautifully, a real balancing act and overall more delicate than expected.

Stone Box rocks! This brewer really doesn't make gimmick beers.

I also found a beautiful spare Erdinger glass, looks like never used. Good Weissbier glass! There's an assortment of wares at Value Village. The one by Leslie has ten little Spearhead tasting glasses, each about one or two oz snifters. Suitable for that rare bottle of muchness you need to share.

At home:
Mill Street Cassis
Mill Street Belgian Pale Ale - to my surprise, a really good take on a US-style, hop-forward BPA. Worth trying.

Sounds delicious. I never managed to get my hands on the Bastard Box when it came here. Hopefully they bring it back.

Hope so. Well up next is Stone Depth Charged Double Bastard (with espresso beans, clever visual), maybe to split with my cousin who is of course 'not worthy.' 8)

I think the Double only got better since they began it.
